A Note From the Principal

Welcome to Sheridan Elementary School

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about our school, and the educational program we offer children.

Sheridan serves approximately two hundred eighty (280) students.  There are twenty-five teachers, para-professionals and other support staff that work to meet the educational needs of the kids.

We are very proud of our inviting atmosphere, where all members of our school family demonstrate respect for themselves and others.  Accepting responsibility for our actions and exhibiting good citizenship are top priorities for all of us.

Volunteers play an essential role at Sheridan Elementary.  We enjoy overwhelming support from our parents and business partners.  We encourage community involvement in our educational program.

Sheridan School was originally constructed in 1954.  It has experienced many different phases of renovation and construction over the years.  Most recently, we have added a new media center, an art room, a music room and two new early childhood classrooms. We have also implemented a building-wide technology system. We have a beautiful building that facilitates learning.

We would like you to visit Sheridan Elementary so you can see and “feel” for yourself the kind of educational opportunity we provide.  We love to give personal tours of the building, and introduce you to the staff and kids that make this building special.  Come and see what we do “Just For Kids.”

Respectfully,

Joel B. Donaldson
